The Learning Center uses Microsoft ASP.NET authentication technology that supports a variety of authentication providers. This technology enables users to log in to the Learning Center with the same user name and password that they use for their Office 365 account.

The advantage of this type of authentication method is that your Learning Center application can use the exact same security scheme that applies to your customers' corporate networks – user names, passwords, and permissions are the same for all network resources and Web applications. One of the key advantages of ASP.NET authentication is that users who are logged on to the network don’t have to log on again to access the Web application.

In addition to O365 authentication, it is also possible to set up additional external login providers such as Facebook, Google, Microsoft Account, and Twitter.
