Learning objectives help you to track, use, reuse, and report on any element within your course structure. Any element of a course can be tracked by making it into a learning objective – this can be a course, a slide, an assessment, or even an external element such as a news item or video.

You can map objectives in sequences and phases within a learning plan to ensure that you control the order of the training. You can also specify whether an objective is compulsory or optional for your employees. The objectives give the employee an easy overview of the courses and tasks that they have completed and the ones that are upcoming.

When you create a new course, you can specify that it is tracked as a learning objective and the parameters that determine when the learning objective has been met, for example, if the participant has passed the course.
